Thinking in Residence for Art in Odd Places: SENSE
April 21, 2018Almost every year, along 14th street, Art in Odd Places offers a remarkable conglomeration of interactions, performances and other occurrences during an October weekend, often with a one-word theme.
In 2017, I was invited to participate and post my reflections as a Thinker-in-Residence</a>] for Art in Odd Places. The year’s theme was SENSE.
For AiOP 2017 SENSE, I spent time with two AiOP projects: Collective Bargain, a small group vocally advocating and protesting for various rights, including those contributed by passers-by, and with Beatrice Glow, artist and multisensory storyteller, who led me on a walk on 14th street and beyond - on the condition that I keep my eyes closed.
